Frost & Sullivan, the Growth Partnership Company, announced today that its flagship event, the Growth, Innovation & Leadership Congress on Corporate Growth (GIL) has been expanded to seven regions globally. GIL is the industry's only event designed to support senior executives in their efforts to achieve sustainable, top-line growth.
"The real purpose of GIL is to focus on the CEO's number one top priority -- growth," explains David Frigstad, Chairman of Frost & Sullivan. "We're looking at growth, innovation and leadership as three essential characteristics that enable companies to stay ahead of the competition and gain greater market share within their industries. Our thought leaders deliver the necessary tools, strategies, and best practices that help support CEOs and their growth teams."
Originally launched in North America, Frost & Sullivan has hosted more than one thousand CEOs and senior executives since GIL's inception in 2004. Most recently, Frost & Sullivan welcomed GIL participants in San Francisco, California in September 2008 and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in October 2008. Nicholas Pinchuk, President and CEO of Snap-On Incorporated, Jim Balsillie, Co-CEO of Research in Motion, Nassim Nicholas Taleb, author of New York Times bestseller The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable; Robert E. Stroud, International Vice President of CA, Inc, and Badlisham Ghazali, Chief Executive Officer of Multimedia Development Corporation are among the elite roster of senior executives who have participated in this event.
Frost & Sullivan will further extend its program reach over the coming year, introducing it to the United Kingdom, Dubai, Mumbai, Brazil, Malaysia, Japan, and South Africa in 2009, and Israel and China in 2010. Highlights of the GIL Global program include the release and presentation of Frost & Sullivan's Annual CEO Growth Survey results; Economic Summits examining regional and global market landscapes; interactive sessions dedicated to exploring industry convergence; and diverse career tracks supporting the CEO's Growth TeamTM, including Research and Development, Sales and Marketing, and Competitive and Market Intelligence. The program also features Frost & Sullivan's Annual Best Practices in Growth Excellence Awards, which honor leading industry visionaries.
These and other events ensure a program agenda equally equipped to provide guidance on growth strategy and implementation. As Frigstad notes, "At GIL, our participants engage in candid discussions in an interactive atmosphere, and they come away with a wealth of ideas and actionable strategies they can take back to their organizations and implement immediately,".
