Emirates Computers announced that they are participating in Cisco’s Connected Hotel Forum to be held at the Grosvenor House Hotel on November 20, 2008. The company plans to demonstrate the power of Cisco’s TelePresence solutions by installing two live TelePresence rooms at the venue. Technology experts from Emirates Computers will be on hand to explain the features and benefits of the technology to delegates at the forum.
Speaking of their participation, Mr. Haytham Kamel, General Manager at Emirates Computers said, “The hospitality sector in the Middle East is growing at a rapid pace. Every hotel chain wants to offer its customers the best services to gain customer loyalty. Hence they are adopting the latest and best technologies to offer customers luxury and convenience. Emirates Computers is happy to be a part of Cisco’s Connected Hotel Forum, which is a focused event for the hospitality sector. We are installing two live TelePresence rooms to demonstrate the features of Cisco’s TelePresence solution and we are confident that our technology will be well-received by delegates at the forum.”
Using the reach and intelligence of the network, Cisco TelePresence eliminates distance barriers to interaction while at the same time providing a high-quality experience through creating a real sense of sitting face-to-face with a person on the other side of the virtual TelePresence table. Additionally, Cisco TelePresence taps Cisco’s unique Unified Communications capabilities, making TelePresence calls as easy as a regular phone call.
Emirates Computers, which is a Cisco Gold Partner, was also certified as a Cisco TelePresence Authorized Technology Provider (ATP) in 2007, making it one of the first Cisco partners in the region to achieve this certification. To achieve this Cisco ATP partner certification, Emirates Computers had to fulfill all the training requirements and program prerequisites to sell, deploy and support Cisco TelePresence.
The Cisco Connected Hotel solution helps enable hotels to gain competitive advantage by providing improved levels of guest experiences, support brand differentiation, create new revenue streams, as well as allow for a reduction in capital and operational expenditure over the lifecycle of the hotel. The multi-service IP platform further allows for enhanced staff productivity, increased responsiveness to guest requirements and improved control over the management of hotel operations.
The Cisco Connected Hotel Forum, which will be attended by customers, partners and operators, will also cover customer experiences and success stories on technology implementations.
About Cisco TelePresence
The Cisco TelePresence Meeting solution combines the industry's first ultra-high definition 1080p video and high-quality, wideband spatial audio, imperceptible latency, with comprehensive environmental design. Meeting participants feel as if they are in the same room together, even though they may be located across the globe. With the ability to see and hear others in ultra-high definition video and wideband spatial audio, users truly experience the subtleties and nuances delivered by body language, eye contact and facial gestures that make up more than 60 per cent of communications. With Cisco TelePresence, participants focus on the meeting and not the technology.
