San Ramon, CA, United States, 2008/10/27 - Validare, Inc. has been recognized by World Wide Web Health Awards and awarded a Gold Medal for The Validare Gateway™.
Validare, Inc. has been recognized by World Wide Web Health Awards. Notified in late September with other award recipients of the Spring/Summer 2008 World Wide Web Health Awards, Validare was awarded Gold. The World Wide Web Health Awards is a program that recognizes the best health information Websites for consumers and professionals, and is coordinated by the Health Information Resource Center (HIRC), a national clearinghouse for consumer health information programs and materials.
Validare was recognized with a Gold award in the Professional Business (Private Sector) category for their web based application, The Validare Gateway™, which is used to assist Office-Based Surgery (OBS) providers in achieving and maintaining accreditation from one of three approved accreditation organizations focused on patient safety. Validare’s industry exclusive application provides OBS clients with online access to forms and information on accreditation standards, along with providing storage for data collection and documentation that are required to maintain OBS accreditation.
HIRC’s Gold rating makes Validare the only recipient of that ranking in their category. The World Wide Web Health Awards are given to some of the world's best health Websites and helps establish a "seal of approval" for health information and services on the World Wide Web. "We are proud of our contribution to maintaining patient safety standards and very pleased to be recognized with this prestigious Gold award. We strive to use our technology to promote best practices among our physician clients," commented Validare CTO, Jeff Griffen. As more consumers and professionals rely on the Internet as a primary source for health information and as an improved way to deliver quality health care, it is important to be able to recognize innovators in this field. Other website award recipients include: the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, Novartis, Mayo Clinic, and the National Institutes of Health.
Rock Rockett, Validare’s CEO sums it up: "We understand the importance of accreditation and how it is related to patient safety. This recognition is important for our business but perhaps more so, it is important for the thousands of patients who visit an OBS provider. They can rest assured that additional safeguards have been established to ensure patient safety."
