Durham, NC, United States, 03/08/2006 – SyncGaming, one of the fastest growing destinations on the web for video game coverage and content, announced today an expansion in their focus of providing in-house editorial material to the public. The move, which is a change from the current amount of emphasis being placed on the databases and game portals, will result in the addition of a brand new editorial staff to the website. Beginning this Friday, March 10, the following new members of the SyncGaming team will make their official debuts:
• Rachel Carr, Executive Editor
• Mark Buckingham, Associate Editor
• Scott McTaggart, Associate Editor
• Rusty Bailey, Contributing Writer
“I’m very excited to have all of these individuals on board, and look forward to seeing what they can do for us,” said SyncGaming Owner and Executive Editor Quinton Miles. “Each of them has a tremendous love for games, and a true respect for the industry which is even more important, so I’m ready to see what they can do.”
SyncGaming reviews will be scaled on a five point rating system, with one overall score used to determine our critic’s opinion. Readers can expect to see the first reviews from each of these writers by the end of the week.
Are you getting tired of constantly hopping around from website to website trying to find the latest happenings in the world of video games? I know for sure that I am, and have been for quite some time now. Wouldn't it be great to find all of the information you need in one central place and not worry about missing anything? Well, wonder no more folks. Combining the best of all worlds of gaming journalism and database scoring administration, it is my pleasure and honor to introduce you to a place that is centered around the true gamer at heart....SyncGaming. Sure, we‘re the new kids on the block right now, but we've made it our goal and primary purpose to bring a new flare to the gaming community, but this is only the beginning. We've got some tricks up our sleeves for the future that we're excited about, but for those unfamiliar with us, here are some of our main features:
Coverage Of Every Game, From Every Website:
In addition to doing our own dedicated coverage of games, we also host a database of games coverage from all around the world. Want to know the rating of a game, but don't feel like going everywhere to see the different opinions on it? Now, you don't have to. Simply search for the game and all the reviews, previews, features, and media will come straight to you. If we happen to miss one, users even have the option to add links themselves. Sure, there may be some places that hold certain requirements on smaller sites, but we feel that would that would be blocking a part of the voice so we won’t be doing it.
Forums That Are Sure To Keep You Talking:
Got something on your mind about something we said? Or anything in general that you think your fellow gaming community should know about? Let the world know in our forums! We’re hoping to build a sense of community that is one of the best in the web, so be sure to be around to say you were here when we started. There’s also a lot more to life than video games (yes, I’m positive) so we’ve addressed that need as well. We’re here for you, though, so if there’s something you’d like us to add in that department, by all means let me know directly or through the boards.
Top Notch Trade Show Coverage:
Very similar in style to our games coverage, we keep track of all the late breaking announcements from all the industry trade shows so you don't have to. Whether it’s the 2005 Tokyo Game Show, the upcoming X05 event in London, or next year‘s Electronic Entertainment Expo and Game Developers Conferences, all of the events’ news is located in one central location, saving you a ton of time.
The Latest, Up To Date News From The Gaming Industry:
Simply put, if it’s happening in the industry, you'll know about it the second it happens. And by that, we don’t mean waiting until the afternoon to cover a news story that happened earlier that morning. Trust me when I tell you: the moment we hear about it is the moment you’ll know about it. We treat every story like it just came off the show floor at E3, so expect to see some of the fastest updated news you’ve ever seen at any gaming site on the web, period. Plus, we're on the east coast, so no waiting until later on in the day when the "other sites" decide to post it. Our mission is to be the main site you go to for your news fix.
And Much, Much More To Come!
These are all the cards we're willing to show for now, but much more is in the development stages so be sure to stay tuned. Remember, everything on our site is completely free, so don't hesitate to come check us out and register for our forums to let your voice be heard. We're in this for the long haul, and are doing it for the people that matter....you, the gamers.
