Cape Town, Western Province, South Africa, 10/14/2008 – Current global events have increased focus on issues surrounding credit risk practices in banks around the world. As a result, there is an immediate need to identify and then to measure, monitor and control credit risk practices in order to maximise the returns from the bank’s credit exposure. In order to remain competitive banks need to ensure that their personnel are up to date with the latest techniques and methodologies for managing credit risk across their whole portfolio.
The two-day Credit Risk Africa conference will focus on appropriate credit administration processes and addressing Basel II principles. Attendees will gain insight into new approaches to diversify portfolios, new risk transfer techniques, ways in which to maximise debt recovery, and a discussion on the visions of credit risk in Africa.
