Aachen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany, 09/30/2008 – Aspera GmbH, the market pioneer in contract-based software asset management (SAM), announces the availability of its SAM tool, SmartTrack, in the United States. More than 22 million licenses and over 500,000 contracts are managed by SmartTrack worldwide.
Founded in Germany in 2000, Aspera’s unique approach is relied upon by 7 of the Top Ten DAX Corporations and in over 60 other major implementations around the world. “We designed SmartTrack to meet the needs of enterprise customers searching for a software asset management solution that effectively integrates into procurement, deployment and human resources management systems for holistic and accurate SAM,” explains Bernhard Boehler, one of Aspera’s founders and managing partner.

Intended to work with the customer’s existing tools, as Aspera’s SmartTrack is 100% platform independent, Web-based, and integrates with all major third party discovery, repository/CMDB, and metering tools.
