San Marcos, CA, United States, 2008/09/11 - Submarina California Subs has opened its first location on a college campus at the University of Southern California's newest dining venue, The Lot. The location boasts a smaller footprint and offers an array of healthy menu options for students.
Submarina California Subs™, well-known for its fresh produce, high-quality sliced meats and cheeses and relaxed California atmosphere is going back to school with its newest location now open on the campus of the University of Southern California. The restaurant, located at The Lot Marketplace, USC’s newest dining venue, is the company’s first location on a college campus and marks the 61st location in Southern California.

The USC campus restaurant is open Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 8 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm. The new location features a limited menu, highlighted by Submarina’s signature sandwiches such as the ATC with freshly sliced avocado, turkey breast and provolone cheese.

The Lot is USC’s newest dining pavilion, providing a mix of hospitality options to students. The 39-foot-tall, 18,000-square-foot building features a special ceiling that assists in energy conservation and utilizes skylights and windows to take advantage of natural light and reduce power consumption. It is equipped with six 50-inch flat screen TVs, 12 state-of-the-art speakers, four ATMs and wireless Internet access throughout. Additionally, there are electrical outlets available to students to plug in their laptops or other electrical equipment.
