Paso Robles, CA, United States, 09/03/2008 – The promotion took place after the decision to expand the employment company’s HR division.
Young’s human resource career spans over 30 years and consists of a variety of business experience and management levels. This includes retail, manufacturing, public and private commerce, as well as self-employment consulting. Holding positions that range from working as a Labor Analyst to Vice President of Human Resources, Young has collaborated with line employees, CEOs and Presidents for companies which include ABB/Combustion Engineering, Kinko’s, Allied Signal/Global Wulfsberg, JBL Industries, Meridian Vineyards, Beringer Wine Estates, and Foster’s Wine Estates Americas.
Her expertise as a generalist envelops the full-body of HR knowledge which is validated by a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management and a SPHR certification obtained and held since 2000. Young currently serves on the Board of the Human Resources Association of the Central Coast (California) and is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) as well as the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI).
A regular speaker at conferences throughout the state, Young has been invited to speak on subjects such as Workers’ Compensation, Leave of Absence Administration, General Management, Best Practices and other topics. Currently she sits on HRCI’s Exam Committee where she is jointly responsible for writing the SHRM exam for anyone testing for a California HRCI designation.
Young is also known as the “Jeannine” of AskJeannine, a human resources Question and Answer series geared toward helping business owners and managers with the complex issues of managing employees in the State of California. USA President David Elson said, “I wanted to be able to share the wealth of knowledge that we collectively hold here at USA, so I thought this might be a good vehicle for that and it also serves as a public service.” It is published weekly in the San Luis Obispo, California Tribune, the Santa Barbara County, California Santa Maria Times, and the Kern County, California Visalia Times Delta newspapers.
