Blacksburg, VA, United States, 07/18/2008 – ESS Technologies, Inc. offers Bergami’s Model TF 100 Automatic Tube Filling and Closing Machine as part of a complete high speed packaging line. The Model TF 100 fills and closes metal, plastic, polyfoil, and cassette infeed tubes with diameters up to 50mm. Designed to meet cGMP standards, the TF 100 is suitable for use in sterile rooms and laminar flows and fills and closes up to 100 tubes per minute.
Ideal for pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, the TF 100 can be integrated into a complete packaging line for a full turnkey solution designed by ESS Technologies, Inc. The TF 100 has a small footprint, and the stainless steel frame and control panel provide easy cleaning and maintenance. Moving mechanical parts are based on self-lubricated components, while a user-friendly touchscreen display allows the machine operator to adjust performance and maintain operational logs. Changeover requires no tools and typically takes twenty minutes or less.
The TF 100 features a 12-position turntable with bottom-up filling controls to raise and lower the tube as required by the product characteristics. Nozzles may be shut-off, blow-off, or combination types. Tube infeed options include a cassette infeed system; an ergonomic, high capacity infeed system; an orthogonal two-axis robotized system; or a flexible FANUC multi-axis robotic cell with custom-designed ESS end-of-arm tooling. Several tube closing methods are available including fold, double fold or saddle fold (metal tubes) and hot jaws or hot air sealing (plastic tubes). Safety couplings protect the mechanical parts from overload, assuring long life for the tube filler. Integrated with a fully engineered packaging line that includes cartoning, case packing, and palletizing, the TF 100 offers flexibility, speed, and reliability.
