Sturgeon worked briefly as an assistant at the beginning of her career with TVC, was promoted to events manager in 2006, and then became a business partner with Jill Ogorsolka in 2007. Since Sturgeon’s start over three years ago, she has helped the company more than double in size.

Ogorsolka’s growing family and other personal business interests left her with the decision to sell TVC. “I was so happy when Jennie decided to take over the business. For me she was the obvious choice and I feel as if the business has stayed in the family,” Ogorsolka said. Since taking over in January, Sturgeon has continued to build on Ogorsolka’s legacy. “My vision, energy, and passion for the style of catering we provide are exactly what my mentor, Jill, had for the company when she founded TVC in 2000.”

In 2006, TVC opened a two-acre, outdoor events venue located out Morro Road in Atascadero. Surrounded by an oak-filled valley, Ogorsolka and Sturgeon designed the venue to accommodate up to 200 guests. Just a few minutes in either direction one can find wine tasting or the coast. The venue features an enclosed garden courtyard, a large deck, and a seasonal stream that runs next to the facility. “It’s a deliciously relaxing atmosphere with a mild climate and it’s perfect for sharing those very special memories,” Sturgeon explained.

Trumpet Vine Catering has provided catering services for weddings, banquets, family events, and other special occasions in San Luis Obispo County for the past eight years. TVC is a full service catering company best known for it’s variety of services that range from box lunches to weddings to casual cocktail parties. “TVC has built a reputation for providing unique cuisine and innovative presentation.
