America’s aspiring entrepreneurs now have a new way to get their big ideas on paper. “The Writing Winning Business Plans Workshop series promises to expose participants to the fundamentals of business plan writing and business development through an innovative and entertaining process that will acquaint participants with management principles, business terminology, as well as critical communication and fundraising skills,” said organizer Michael Paul Valentine, President of Columbus, OH based Plan Lab, Inc.
“As our nation’s economy continues to shrink the entrepreneurial spirit has risen to an all time high. Recent trends suggest that people are now beginning to meet the needs of their household by experimenting with opening small home based businesses. As a result of these findings, the need for sound business planning is a necessity. Therefore, my mission is to help people in their pursuit of information, knowledge and wisdom. It’s important that people are conscious of the fact that working for themselves and creating jobs for others is a viable career option. Through a united alliance we can ignite thriving communities where wisdom prevails and good ideas are nurtured,” said Valentine.
“As a result of hard work and extensive research, Michael has created a tool that is easy to use and uncomplicates even the most critical areas of business. The Writing Winning Business Plans Workshop, led by Mr. Valentine, breaks the normally arduous business planning process down into simple digestible steps. Michael Valentine's knowledge and experience in business planning translate to a sound, workable process. He has the ability to move a client from concept to an articulate plan,” said Janice Ridgeway, Head of Branch & Outreach Services/ Cleveland Public Library- Cleveland, OH.
The writing workshops are produced quarterly by a group of Plan Lab’s technical writing team that will travel from city to city and will provide each person considering becoming an entrepreneur a strategic blueprint to become successful business owners.
“Our goal is to get the nation’s public library directors who are affiliated with the American Library Association (ALA) to accept our quarterly challenge to encourage their customers to learn how to write winning business plans,” said Ronald Tyler JR, Plan Lab’s Vice President. “People who really have a desire to get their ideas on paper don’t have to hire a pricey consultant or buy expensive software. Our workshops are a great alternative to developing highly effective business plans and proposals. In fact, each participant will walk out of the workshop with an actual business plan. During our final session area bank managers will be in attendance to provide feedback for each participant and explore various funding options," said Tyler
