Kingston 1000 Islands Cruises today announced the launch of the world’s first GPS triggered (satellite technology) audio tours in six languages on its three tour boats – the Island Queen, the Island Belle, and the Island Star.
Kingston 1000 Islands Cruises delivers two new audio tours in six languages simultaneously, on its tour of ‘Discovery’ and ‘Heart of the Islands’ experience of Kingston and the 1000 Islands, providing tourists with fascinating stories about Ontario's oldest city, once the capital of early Canada.
Recently awarded the prestigious Unesco World Heritage Site designation, the Rideau Canal, Kingston’s fortifications, and Fort Henry converge with the launching of wireless hands-free tours in English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese and Mandarin as tourists use small wireless receivers and headsets to experience and relive history with a characterization of Canada’s first Prime Minister, Sir John A. MacDonald – Canada’s father of Confederation.
