San Luis Obispo, CA, United States, 05/15/2008 – Betsey Nash, a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and formerly of Nash HR Services, will be joining the Human Resource (HR) Consulting Division of USA as Human Resource Consultant effective Thursday, May 1, 2008
Previously the owner of Nash HR Services, Nash is a longtime Central Coast resident. She brings over 17 years of HR and over 20 years of experience in management. After a career in title insurance and a stint as a radio talk show host, Nash spent 10 years in HR with Home Depot before being recruited by Bed Bath & Beyond to become District HR Manager overseeing 12 stores in the San Fernando Valley.
No stranger to USA, Nash provided consulting services to the company in 2005 prior to the hire of USA Director of Human Resources, Jeannine Young, SPHR, who joined the company early 2006. Nash states that one of several deciding factors in joining USA is the opportunity to collaborate with Young. USA anticipates a positive collaboration as Young and Nash share decades of industry knowledge and experience between them.
Nash’s commitment to her community is notable. It includes founding and serving as President of the San Luis Obispo County Women’s Network, Director of the Cuesta College Foundation, and holding board positions for the San Luis Obispo Symphony and San Luis Obispo County’s Land Conservancy.
Nash currently serves as a board member for the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce, Cal Poly’s Students in Free Enterprise Club Business Advisory Board and Mission Community Services Professional Technical Advisory Team. Nash is also an active Rotarian.
USA clients will have access to a broader range of HR support products and services to include those Nash brings to the table. Such services include on-site and on-call HR; meeting and retreat facilitation; compensation and succession planning; HR audits that include I-9’s, personnel files, and payroll; pre-employment screening; handbooks and policy manuals; setting up new business HR systems and departments; leadership assessments; and leave administration investigations
Young explains, “Betsey brings with her the skills and experience enabling USA to take Human Resource consulting to a new level. Betsey is an industry leader in the field of HR outsourcing; USA will immediately benefit from a greater capacity to handle clients in need of HR related consulting services. Betsey has the ability to handle a number of clients with a wide variety of needs.”
Nash expects that clients of Nash HR Services will benefit from the administrative support side of USA. When asked what other aspects of USA services she expects her clients to enjoy Nash replied, “Staffing, of course; whether they need temporary staff to get through a season, a special project, or require proven professionals, I know that USA can find them exactly what they need.”
When asked what Nash is looking forward to most in her new position she replied, “I’m excited about collaborating with Jeannine and developing USA’s HR division into a state-of-the-art provider and working with (USA owner) David (Elson). He has proven himself to be a visionary in the staffing field and a community philanthropist; both characteristics I admire.”
