Harcase Software Ltd. today announced that Jevco, a subsidiary of Kingsway Financial Services Inc. and a provider of standard and specialized Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance products, has gone live with the Harcase Point of Sale Portal for its personal automobile line of business. The company has successfully rolled out new business functionality to its internal work force and has initiated a pilot program with its broker network.
“The Harcase Point of Sale solution is fundamental to achieving our overall goal of improving service to our brokers and making it easy for them to place business with us.” said Serge Lavoie, President and CEO of Jevco. “We are on an aggressive growth path and see enormous opportunity ahead. Our brokers are the backbone of the organization; therefore, it is essential that we provide them with exceptional service and powerful tools to help them succeed, he continued.”
Harcase’s Point of Sale Portal provides Jevco with a customized platform pre-populated with queries and exception underwriting rules to deliver rapid decision-making and policy delivery to its broker field force.
Mr. Lavoie remarked that in partnering with Harcase to deliver Jevcom, Jevco was able to go from Wang to Web in a matter of five short months. “In the past, our brokers were paperbound – it took us a number of weeks to deliver a policy document. With the Harcase portal in place, our brokers can input complete policy information online and will receive client documents immediately and a policy document within a day or two. We believe that with the implementation of this portal solution, we have taken a huge leap forward. So far, the brokers have been very positive and tell us that Jevcom is far superior to anything they currently use to place new business,” he added.
Dan Sobotincic, President of Harcase Software Ltd., commented, “We have worked closely with the Jevco team to tailor their solution to respond to their current needs and prepare for the increased volume of business they anticipate as part of their strategic growth plans.” With the portal, Jevco has been able to dramatically reduce the turnaround time of policy delivery and is able to keep brokers connected and informed on policy decisions.
“The cost of inefficient customer service and cycling between carriers and brokers can be very high. Jevco can now look forward to a significant reduction in internal costs to place and service their business. Additionally, the company is now equipped to provide brokers with full capabilities to quote and place new Auto business in the timeframe and method that they require to succeed,” Sobotincic continued.
Currently, Jevco brokers can take advantage of Point of Sale Portal’s CSIO download capabilities. Within the next 12 months, additional phases of the implementation project will include CSIO upload capabilities as well as enhanced support for the automobile line of business and support for the property and motorcycle lines of business.
