As a group, we are well aware of the Middle Eastern tradition and passion for coffee drinking and it is primarily for that reason that we have decided to introduce the Caribou Coffee experience to the region and to Jordan in specific.”
Caribou launched its first coffee shop in the Middle East in Kuwait, followed shortly after by UAE, Bahrain and now in Jordan. This initiative was undertaken by Vantage Capital, in collaboration with the Caribou master coffee experts, and will eventually lead to the opening of 7 outlets across the Kingdom.
Mr. Christopher Rich, Vice President of Global Franchising for Caribou Coffee Inc. said, “We are very excited about the roll out of an extensive expansion plan for Caribou Coffee across the Middle East. Caribou has successfully established itself as the popular choice amongst millions in the United States and we look forward to it being the coffee of choice for Jordanians as well.”
During the launch, guests were presented with an exclusive opportunity to taste six blends of coffee of varying roast degrees, mastered and offered by Caribou. Caribou Coffee selects the finest beans to create unique blends while employing the highest quality standards from roasting through brewing for the ultimate taste.
The atmosphere and décor of Caribou Coffee was inspired by the founders, who while hiking in Alaska, were motivated to develop a concept that truly serves the best quality coffee product, in an upscale lodge setting with textured woods and an aura of warmth and rejuvenation.
In addition to the atmosphere and coffee quality, Caribou focuses its efforts on providing unparalleled service. Well-trained baristas greet regular guests by name and get to know their DNA-- ‘Drink Normally Asked’ for—with repeat guests accounting for 80% of Caribou Coffee’s business.
Caribou Coffee is the world’s fastest growing coffeehouse chain and the second largest specialty coffeehouse chain in the United States. Caribou opened its first location in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1992 and is currently operating in nearly 400 locations around the world.
