Brace Automotive, an automobile engineering firm founded nearly 30 years ago in the Netherlands, and whose head office is in Luxembourg, has announced the opening of its first French office at the Madrillet Business & Technology Park, located in the south of the Rouen Metropolitan Area (410,000 inhabitants).
With the opening, in January 2008, of this new office in the Madrillet Business Incubator and Enterprise Development Centre, Brace Automotive is consolidating its growth by setting up at the heart of the Mov'eo business cluster, Europe's biggest concentration of companies in the automobile sector, one of the four biggest in the world along with the clusters of Detroit (United States), Kanto-Tokaï (Japan), and the South of Germany.
"The Madrillet Technology Park, headquarters of the Mov'eo cluster, is one of France's biggest centres for education and research in the scientific and technological fields associated with the automobile industry. It has the advantage of being close to the big clients in the Paris region and in Normandy. Our presence will reinforce the value chain of the Technology Park by introducing complementary activities, and it will provide us with new opportunities for commercial development. It will also allow us access to a breeding ground of engineers highly qualified in our fields of activity for our recruitment purposes." explains Johnny Brebels, director of Brace Automotive.
This new installation is the result of a first contact, dating from February 2007, made by Seine-Maritime Expansion (SME), the Seine-Maritime territorial Economic Development Agency. The Agency carried out an ad hoc market study and organised visits of the teaching and research structures, the laboratories and businesses of the Technology Park which met the criteria of the company. SME also assisted in the introduction of Brace Automotive to the local network of players (the Mov'eo cluster, the Madrillet Technology Park Promotion Association, the Rouen Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Rouen Metropolitan Area Council, the Department of the Seine-Maritime, the Haute-Normandie Regional Council, etc.)

About Seine-Maritime Expansion
For forty years, Seine-Maritime Expansion (staff of 15 – 2 sites in Rouen and Dieppe) has initiated and participated in the promotion of the economic fabric of the Seine-Maritime (Normandy – France). As the Economic Development Agency created and financed by local government bodies, SME (sme76.fr) plays the role of interface between the various players in the field of development, and that of facilitator of business installation and development projects. In particular, it offers its services for the drawing up of business financing projects, and for seeking out available premises in business parks. This assistance is free of charge and confidential.
Seine-Maritime Expansion is committed to assist businesses in setting up in our territory, in particular on the Madrillet Business and Technology Park. Located in the Rouen Metropolitan Area (410,00 inhabitants), right next to the A13 Paris-Normandie motorway, this park provides an exceptional range of scientific and technological skills available for the development of innovative engines. As one of the most advanced technological clusters in Northern France, it implements linked activities going from education and training, basic and applied research to industrialization, including the testing phase and involving the industrial interests concerned.
