Mobile Monday Global Summit 2008 is held as a state lite event with the World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT 2008). This unique and pioneering collaboration will bring together over 6000 delegates and participants from over 80 countries across 6 continents.
Founded in Helsinki, Finland Mobile Monday has grown into the world's leading mobile community, led by a group of over 200 dedicated volunteers from across the world. Mobile Monday is a global community of visionaries, developers and influential, Mobile Monday Global Summit 2008 will draw from across the entire spectrum of participants including hardware manufacturers, software developers, content creators, network providers and the academic world. Mobile Monday has 60 chapter cities around the world, and continues to launch new locations monthly.

The MoMo Global Summit will also consist of the Global Peer Awards ceremony. This time around, there will be three categories, early stage companies, emerging companies (founded from 2005 onwards) and academia (university students). Co-founder and Chairman of MoMo Kuala Lumpur, Dr Arun Kumar, adds, “The academia class is new and reserved solely for University students and recent graduates. This is a huge opportunity not to be missed for those just starting out in the industry.”
MoMo Malaysia, officially launched on April 25th 2006, is the local chapter of MoMo which is the world’s leading mobile community. MoMo Malaysia is a community established for professionals to network among mobile professionals, share ideas as well as business best practices on a monthly basis. It is also a platform where professionals are able to establish business contacts and opportunities within and outside the country.
WCIT 2008 is jointly organised by the Multimedia Development (MDeC) and Association of the Computer and Multimedia Industry of Malaysia (PIKOM) and closely supported by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation Malaysia.
