Bangalore, Karnataka, India, 02/14/2008 – Bahwan CyberTek Pvt. Ltd. (BCT), a global provider of hybrid technology solutions which has implemented an innovative and novel eGovernance model for Dubai eGovernment (DeG), today announced the inking of another agreement with DeG that would enable them jointly to identify opportunities and implement the eGovernance model in other regional Governments across the Middle East region.
The partnership agreement between BCT and DeG enables the two entities to jointly combine their expertise in various facets of eGovernance and implement proven solutions in the geographies where they have relevant experience. Also the two entities would set up a joint techno-functional team of experts to replicate the DeG success across the region.
According to Mr. Salem AlShair, Director eServices at Dubai eGovernment, “The core objective of DeG is to ease the lives of people and businesses interacting with the Government and contribute to establish Dubai as a leading economic hub. A beginning has been made and the need of the hour is to groom partners like BCT who have the same vision, capability, regional commitment, right attitude & flexibility to take up this daunting yet exciting task alongside us.”
Commenting on the new partnership agreement, Radwan Mohamed Mohamed Mahmoud, IT Advisor and Consultant, Dubai eGovernment, said “We are impressed with the delivery capability of BCT’s Cuecent product management team & the solutions its has provided to DeG over the last six years and the time is ripe to replicate this model across the region. Several new initiatives have already been put in the pipeline and soon many more services and features would be added.”
According to S. Durgaprasad, CEO, Bahwan CyberTek, “DeG and BCT have successfully built a relationship and the new agreement would enable us to further strengthen this. We have an ambitious plan to further scale ePay to support Multiple Payment Gateways and introduce an additional consolidation layer at the acquiring end for catering to the needs of private sector. In-addition, we are looking at enhancing features to support pervasive channels for increased citizen convenience.”
Detailing the highlights of the new agreement, Narendar, Executive Vice President – Middle East Operations, BCT said, “We would combine BCT’s expertise in eGovernment, eServices and ePayment automation solution with DeG’s rich conceptualization and implementation experience and replicate the same in other regional governments.” Also he said the eGovernance solution implemented at DeG has been acknowledged as the ‘Best eGovernment Program in the Middle East’ at the inaugural Middle East Business Achievement Awards (MEBA Awards) at the Leaders in Dubai Summit.
