The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world's largest business federation representing more than 3 million businesses. The Chamber’s priorities include regional economic development, advocating key public policy positions that affect the business community and membership service. The U.S. Chamber members include businesses of all sizes and sectors, from large Fortune 500 companies to home-based, one-person operations. In 1912, under the leadership of President Taft, a group of 700 delegates from various commercial and trade organizations came together to create a unified body of business interest that today is the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
