Dunkin' Donuts, the world’s largest coffee and baked goods chain announced the regional launch of a new beverage - the Hot Chocolate - for consumers in the UAE. Dunkin’ Donuts operates over 40 outlets in the country and has a sizeable presence in the Middle East and North Africa region.
“Our Hot Chocolate drink offers a delicious new alternative for coffee lovers and chocolate lovers alike,” said David Rodgers, Dunkin' Donuts General Manager. “The new beverage adds to our variety of quality beverages served throughout the UAE.”
"For over a decade now, Dunkin' Donuts has been a dominant brand in the region, with exceptional brand loyalty in the UAE, however it is important for us to constantly innovate and offer new products to consumers,” remarked Mr. Rodgers.
Already the number one seller of coffee by the cup, Dunkin' Donuts plans to add 15 more stores across the UAE over the next three years with a planned investment outlay of over AED 10 million.
“We have plans to open a series of new outlets across the country as our products continue to expand their appeal in the region,” said Mr. Rodgers, “Within a decade of commencing operations in the UAE, we have become one of the most established players in the coffee and donuts sector, catering to a multi-national community of customers across the UAE.”
At the end of fiscal 2006 Dunkin' Donuts outlets worldwide generated total system-wide sales of US$4.7 billion. Dunkin' Donuts is the world's largest coffee and baked goods chain, serving more than three million customers per day. Dunkin' Donuts sells 52 varieties of donuts and more than a dozen coffee beverages as well as an array of bagels, breakfast sandwiches and other baked goods.
Headquartered in Canton, Massachusetts, Dunkin’ Donuts was founded in 1950 and today has more than 7,200 outlets worldwide. In the U.S., there are approximately 5,300 Dunkin' Donuts locations in 34 states. Internationally, there are over 1,900 Dunkin' Donuts locations in 30 countries. Dunkin' Donut's most significant presence overseas is in the Philippines, Indonesia, South Korea, and Thailand. In the UAE, Dunkin’ Donuts recently opened its 40th outlet at the Qanat Al Qasba in Sharjah.
