PRZOOM - /newswire/ - Atlanta, GA, United States, 08/28/2007 - McCar Homes’ President of Sales and Marketing, Tom J. Ware, recently announced that he will be retiring at the year’s end, after nearly 11 years of exceptional service to McCar Homes.

Influential to many, Ware served as a leader for the sales staff at McCar Homes, taking each sales agent under his tutelage and developing them into their maximum potential.
A licensed real estate broker in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina, Ware spent the majority of his career in new home sales and marketing positions in Atlanta with Pulte Homes, L.J. Hooker International, John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods and McCar Homes, where he has been involved in some aspect in over 20,000 new home closings.

Since joining McCar Homes, Ware has seen the company grow from 200 closings per year to nearly 2,500 closings per year and from 8 external sales agents to 120 in-house sales agents. Ware was instrumental in the creation and implementation of company policies and procedures and training programs. Known for his ability to personalize training by visiting the sales agents on-site, working in the trenches and role playing, Ware has spent one-on-one time with each of McCar’s sales agents, personally training them and encouraging them to be successful.

Ware is also known for his creation of a team atmosphere among staff. “He taught us to be a family – we succeed together and fail together, we enjoy the good times and make it through the bad ones as a unit,” said Phillips.
The staff at McCar Homes has begun to prepare themselves for what will be a bittersweet goodbye to Ware. “We are all very excited for him and wish him well, but we do feel like we are losing a member of the family,” continued Phillips. “There will be many tears the day he officially leaves. We have so much to thank him for.”

Scott Payne, former McCar Homes Charlotte Division Vice President has been named Ware’s predecessor.
