Sharon Hill, president of Sharon Hill International, has recently presented dining etiquette and tips for professional behavior to the Mid-East Commission of North Carolina’s Region Q Youth Committee. The presentations were conducted in 50-minute training sessions to 150 young people. Hill’s topics were:
• How to Properly Execute a Handshake
• The Importance of Eye Contact
• Making Small Talk
• Dining Etiquette.
As a certified business etiquette expert, diversity trainer and motivational speaker, Hill provides her audiences with interactive, fun-filled opportunities to sharpen professional skills. “To give something of myself back to the community, especially by inspiring our youth, is a powerful feeling,” states Sharon Hill. “It’s my hope that I have made an impact on these children, giving them the tools to feel confident and professional.”

Workforce Investment Boards through their Youth Committee (regionqyouthatwork.org) serve as the vehicle to develop comprehensive and integrated strategies to help in-school and out-of-school youth prepare for successful entry into the workforce.
