Manhattan, NY, United States, 07/09/2007 - The time has come for a kinder and gentler way of selling, according to NJ Author and Coach, Flo Schell, EdM.
Presenting before the International Coach Federation’s New York Chapter, Schell spoke about the power of connection.
“Today’s savvy consumers do not want to be ‘sold’ anything. Rather they want to invite sales professionals into their lives. It is those sales professionals and business owners that connect authentically with a buyer that win,” Schell says.
Based on the concepts in her new book, Stop Selling: Start Clicking! 10 bold steps to boost your business through the magic of human connection (MP Press, 2006), Schell says that we all have the ability to connect and click with others.
“If we pay attention to creating a magical moment of real connection with a new acquaintance, we can then build on that moment and turn it into a long-term relationship,” says Schell.
“Anyone who has been in a long-term relationship knows that it takes trust, the ability to problem solve, the ability to communicate clearly, and even the ability to forgive,” she continues, “ in order for the relationship to go the distance.”
A buyer-seller relationship is really no different. It goes through the same ups and downs that any important relationship does.
“And after all”, Schell queries, “don’t we all want to buy from people that we know and trust?”
Schell’s company, Franchise Coaching Systems, has recently introduced a new community for business owners and sales professionals entitled ‘Get Clicked In!’ Membership is currently free of charge.
