Rockville, MD, United States, 2007/05/24 - ITM's inFusion eForms product receives another IBM technical approval. inFusion eForms 6.0 is now fully validated in "Ready for Domino", "Ready for Websphere", "IBM Server Proven", and "Ready for IBM SOA Specialty".
ITM Associates, the 2007 IBM Lotus Innovation Award winning provider of standards-based electronic forms workflow solution, today announced its acceptance to the IBM SOA Specialty after successfully completing IBM’s rigorous SOA technical and business requirements. With this achievement, ITM’s inFusion eForms™ integrates with the IBM software and strategy for SOA.
“SOA is an increasingly important business requirement for organizations because of the business flexibility it enables,” said Sandy Carter, vice president, SOA and WebSphere, IBM Software Group. “ITM’s commitment to SOA provides their customers with a powerful way to reduce integration costs while helping organizations manage the core business processes for their organization”.
ITM’s inFusion eForms is the industry’s first application designed to deliver efficient and automated business forms to thousands of users at the lowest possible total cost of ownership (TCO). Compliance with SOA standards enables ITM’s inFusion eForms to immediately link to all SOA-compliant data sources and applications, and allows ITM technology to be easily integrated with third-party portals and process management applications.
ITM’s inFusion eForms uses SOA-based web services to capture transactions from key operational systems, and utilizes XML and WSDL standards to process data and metadata definitions. ITM inFusion eForms is also capable of initiating workflows and processes via web-service calls.
“Support for SOA is critical to reducing the cost and time to deploy operational forms applications, as inFusion eForms serves as a front end to virtually any existing back end to capture data and initiate/terminate business processes,” said Ian Altman, President of ITM. “SOA compliance also enables ITM to provide a best-of-breed eForms offering to our partners such as IBM, who can take our dashboard portlets and embed them in portals and process management tools.”
