Professor Laura Tyson was the President's National Economic Adviser and key architect of President Clinton's domestic and international policy agenda. She has also served as a member of the President's National Security Council and Domestic Policy Council. She is the first woman to be Sixteenth Chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers. In her role, she was responsible for providing the President and his National Economic Council advice and analysis on all economic policy matters, preparing the Administration's economic forecasts and the annual Economic Report of the President. She was also the Dean at the London Business School from January 2002-December 2006 and the Dean at the Walter A. Haas School of Business from July 1998-December 2001. She holds a doctorate in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
