A survey conducted in early October 2016 by European Headhunting firm, Intrinsic Executive Search, of over 100 UK based, Enterprise Software Executives found that twice as many voted to stay in the EU as opposed to only 31% supporting Brexit.
The good news is that only 14% have noticed a direct slow-down in their employer’s business activities to date. However, when looking forward, the majority believe Brexit will have a negative impact on future levels of VC investment for UK Software firms, but weaker sterling will help UK owned Software firms in the short term.
Ben Watkins, Director of Intrinsic Executive Search commented,“In terms of hiring activity for UK based, Enterprise Software Executives, the market seems to have remained relatively buoyant. Almost half of our respondents (46%), mentioned that they are still being approached with as many job opportunities as before the Brexit result, compared to 26% who are not and 28% who were undecided.”
