Following successful growth in the Asia-Pacific region, this expansion will broaden Innovative’s international footprint to provide software development, support, training, and consulting to the marketplace.

Opening a new competency center allows us to grow as a company and keep pace with the evolving needs of our library partners in an efficient, timely fashion.”
The new center in Australia is one of many commitments established earlier this year by Innovative’s new Chief Executive Officer, James Tallman, to enhance services for libraries, increase staff capacity, and offer greater regional support.

Staff in the new competency center span a wide range of positions, including customer support, sales, sales engineers, and library relations, providing optimal service to Innovative library partners. With training currently underway, Innovative staff will begin taking calls on 22 August 2016.
Those in the new center will work in close partnership with Innovative libraries to ensure the needs of those in the Asia-Pacific region are being met. For Philip Kent, University Librarian & Executive Director, Collections at The University of Melbourne, local support brings many benefits. “This is a great development in response to feedback from libraries in our region,” said Kent. “Not only will it facilitate more communication with Innovative staff, but it will bring greater responsiveness in problem solving.”
This center marks the seventh location for Innovative, joining those in California, New York, Virginia, Ireland, India, and Malaysia.
