ADVA Optical Networking announced today that Light Reading, one of the networking industry’s leading editorial organizations, has named the company a finalist for multiple Leading Lights Awards. ADVA Optical Networking is shortlisted in four key categories: Company of the Year, Best Deal Maker, Best Telecom Product and Best NFV Strategy. The company is recognized for its innovative network solutions and for dramatic growth, after reporting a 30 percent increase in revenue for 2015. The ADVA Ensemble product series is specifically nominated for its proven ability to help communication service providers (CSPs) successfully implement network functions virtualization (NFV).
“To be on the shortlist for several major honors including Company of the Year means a lot to our team. It underlines what our people have achieved, especially in 2015,” said Brian Protiva, CEO, ADVA Optical Networking. “We took a number of huge leaps here. Just think of our progress in the data center interconnect (DCI) space, in NFV, in network security we’re moving fast in a number of key areas. Ultimately, our team is united by one goal: to build the future. That drive to push the boundaries of what’s possible sets our company apart it always has. The one constant is that we’re forever evolving, striving every day to add more value for our customers. In 2016, the pace of our innovation is even greater. There are exciting times ahead.”
Light Reading’s shortlisting of ADVA Optical Networking for four major Leading Lights Awards highlights a year of unprecedented success for the technology vendor. In 2015, it expanded its addressable market for next-generation cloud and mobile services and continued its innovation leadership with the launch of several new products. With the increasing demand for DCI technology and the growing momentum of 100G solutions in the metro, the company increased its profits by 217 percent compared with 2014. Light Reading is also acknowledging the acquisition of Overture in January, a purchase that enables ADVA Optical Networking to offer a complete NFV solution.
“Light Reading editors dig deep into the innovation landscape of our industry and their expert analysis is what makes Leading Lights one of the most authoritative awards programs in the networking industry,” commented Stephan Rettenberger, VP, marketing and investor relations, ADVA Optical Networking. “Being shortlisted for four major Leading Lights Awards provides strong independent validation of our success over the past year. It underlines our position as the industry's NFV powerhouse following the strategic acquisition of Overture and supports our mission to drive innovation and shape the networks of tomorrow.”
The winners of the Leading Lights Awards will be announced at the Big Communications Event in Austin, Texas, on May 23. ADVA Optical Networking (advaoptical.com) will also be exhibiting and speaking at the event from May 24 until May 25.
