Metso was number one in the categories of crushing and maintenance of minerals processing plants.
This recognition reinforces Metso's leading position in the mining sector. Marcelo Motti, Senior Vice President, Sales in Brazil, comments: "We thank our customers and professionals in the mining sector for this recognition. I see this award as the result of Metso's continuous aim to help drive sustainable improvements in performance and profitability in our customers' businesses." Motti also reiterates that Metso's solutions are built with technological excellence and the highest safety standards, not to mention decades of experience.
More than 300 managers and supervisors of operations, production and logistics from 108 small, medium and large mining companies in Brazil took part in the survey. The survey was divided into the following categories: Blasting - mechanical and with explosives; Pit - conveying (hauling equipment, off-road trucks and conventional trucks); Crushing - fixed and mobile plants and Processing, subdivided into Classification, Grinding and Concentration.
According to Facto Editorial, the publisher of In The Mine magazine, the survey is unprecedented in the Brazilian mining sector and extrapolates the brand-ranking concept. The annual survey will be used to evaluate consumer behavior and to indicate the degree of changes in brand perception and value recognition among mining equipment users.
