Mergers, acquisitions, debt financing and new investment in the telecom, media and tech space across Asia continues to grow healthily, according to leading regional TMT bankers.
“Debt capital markets are keeping active with a lot of liquidity and good appetite from TMT companies in Asia in 2016, as growth in deals will continue,” commented one Singapore-based banker. “New acquisitions still drive more financing than other factors, and in the TMT space, telecoms and infrastructure M&A is still the most active area. However, we are also finding datacentres, IT services, hardware particularly semiconductors - generating more financing activity across the region in 2016.”
Senior telecom, media and technology executives, investment bankers, investors and advisers from across Asia will gather to assess the latest regional opportunities at the 7th annual TMT Finance Asia 2016 conference in Singapore at Marina Bay Sands Hotel on March 9, 2016.
Over 60 speakers have been announced for the event, including C-level representatives from Telstra, Axiata, Singtel, Ooredoo Indosat, Telkom Indonesia, DTAC, Reliance, Edotco Group, Irrawaddy, Q Towers, Dimension Data, BT, Kingsland, Schneider Electric, IFC, ING, BAML, Deutsche Bank, BNP Paribas, ANZ, Nomura, Credit Agricole, Sequoia Capital, IDG Ventures, Intel Capital, Linklaters, Roland Berger, Hardiman Telecoms and Moody's.
The event includes a series of industry led panels and break out discussions including sessions on Telecom Leadership, Financing TMT, Mergers and Acquisitions, Media and Convergence, Mobile Towers, Datacentre investment, Fintech, Internet of Things and the Future of TMT.
“It will be a very interesting event again this year, with so much activity across the sector,” commented a banker “and a fantastic opportunity to meet old friends and make new contacts in industry and finance from across the region.”
The financing round table will also discuss key themes such as: new market trends; acquisition financing, high yield and the return of LBOs; what matters for institutional loan & bond investors; regional and global impacts on financing; institutional demand for IPOs developing; and the likely outcomes for 2016.
