HfS describes autonomics as “a diverse set of systems in the context of service delivery around the following key concepts: cognitive computing, machine learning and artificial intelligence. Key characteristics are self-learning and self-remediating systems.”
In the first of its kind report, the “2016 Premier League for Autonomics”, Cognizant ranks No. 4 among 22 companies identified by HfS as leaders in the developing market of business autonomics and cognitive computing. These IT and business process service providers were evaluated on six criteria:
- Vision and credibility of autonomics strategy;
- Breadth and maturity of internal tools and external partnerships for autonomics;
- Scale of deployments;
- Commercial traction;
- Effectiveness of marketing effort behind Autonomics strategy.
Cognizant was recognized for strong thought leadership on autonomics, and for its proprietary autonomics platform, HPA, which differentiates its offering from others in the market.
