Graz, Austria, 2015/06/16 - International technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from Kore Infrastructure to supply a paddle dryer for a biosolids recovery plant currently under construction in Rialto, California, USA - ANDRITZ.com. Reuters: ANDR.VI
In the plant, biosolids from wastewater facilities in Los Angeles and which have normally gone to landfill will be converted into biodiesel and biochar. Start-up is scheduled for the second quarter of 2016.
The ANDRITZ SEPARATION dryer will reduce the biosolids volume by up to 80%, while preserving its energy content for further recovery. The outstanding track-record of ANDRITZʼs paddle drying technology with more than 200 paddle dryer installations worldwide was decisive in award of this order.
