LexisNexis® Legal & Professional, a leading global provider of content and technology solutions, today announced that it received the prestigious 2015 SIIA CODiE Award in the Best Legal Information Solution category for LexisNexis MedMal Navigator®, an interactive legal information solution for medical malpractice litigation. The award recognizes MedMal Navigator as an innovative, all-in-one decision tool, combining deep legal and medical content with analytical and visualization tools to help legal professionals navigate complex cases and devise effective strategies.
SIIA CODiE Winners represent the information industry's best products, technologies, and services created by or for media, publishers, and information services providers.
“We are extremely proud that LexisNexis MedMal Navigator won the 2015 SIIA CODiE Award for Best Legal Information Solution,” said Sean Fitzpatrick, managing director of the North American Research Solutions business at LexisNexis. “This recognition confirms that our commitment to continuous innovation in partnership with customers has yielded the right results. With MedMal Navigator, customers can leverage a unique tool that combines legal and medical expertise to help them formulate their case strategy and make critical decisions fast and with confidence.”
Medical malpractice litigation requires attorneys to comb through volumes of comprehensive legal and medical research along with outside data. MedMal Navigator simplifies the process through a single online dashboard that uses interactive Q&A technology to put all of the relevant information and data right at attorneys' fingertips, saving them time, money and resources. Delivered via the state-of-the-art Lexis Advance® platform, MedMal Navigator combines premiere medical and legal research content with a user's case facts so that attorneys can quickly assess the value of a case, understand the medical issues and standard of care and identify potential expert witnesses.
The SIIA CODiE Awards recognize achievement of excellence by software and information companies, showcasing the industry's finest products, technology and services. As the only peer-recognized program in the content, education, and software industries, each CODiE award signifies a notable endorsement for a product's innovation, vision, and overall industry impact.
“SIIA's 2015 Content CODiE Award winners are some of the most innovative, high-impact content products out there,” said Michael Marchesano, managing director, CISD & ABM divisions at SIIA. “We congratulate all of this year's CODiE Award winners, and thank them for the contributions they have made to the content industry.”
The winners were announced at a special awards luncheon at the ABM & Information Industry Summit in Washington, D.C. on June 15, a flagship conference for leaders across the business information industry.

About the SIIA CODiE™ Awards
The SIIA CODiE™ Awards (siia.net) were established in 1986 by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), so that pioneers of the then-nascent software industry could evaluate and honor each other's work. Since then, the CODiE Awards program has carried out the same purpose to celebrate the software and information industry's finest products and services. The SIIA CODiE Awards are the industry's only peer-reviewed awards program. The first round review of all nominees is conducted by media, publishing, and information services executives with considerable industry expertise, including members of the industry, analysts, media and bloggers, and bankers and investors. The judges are responsible for selecting the CODiE Awards finalists. SIIA members then vote on the finalist products and scores from both rounds are tabulated to select the winners.
