Last Sunday's edition of the San Francisco Chronicle called HotelShark.com "useful" for travelers "looking for some guidance about accommodations." The newspaper noted that HotelShark.com's candid hotel reviews are "fueled by input from ordinary travelers."
The article, entitled "Hotel Review Sites Reach for Critical Mass," ran in the travel section of the September 18, 2005 edition. The piece encouraged readers to visit hotelshark.com to "submit your own reviews -- the more you do, the better the information will be available to all of us."
The endorsement is one of many that HotelShark.com has received from major newspapers this year. In January, London's The Independent (UK) called HotelShark.com one of the ten best travel websites in the world. In May, the New York Times advised business travelers to Europe to visit the site to “learn as much as you can about the accommodations.” The Chicago Tribune called HotelShark.com an "unbiased" source of hotel "reviews written by real-world travelers."
The San Francisco Chronicle article noted that Hotelshark.com's strength comes from the fact that "it makes sense to rely on the input from those who have been there before you."
HotelShark.com collects, screens, and publishes unbiased hotel reviews written by real travelers. The site publishes submitted reviews only after they have been thoroughly researched and authenticated. HotelShark.com discards well over half of all incoming contributions as insufficient or invalid. The site may be viewed free of charge. HotelShark.com remains 100% owned by its creator.
HotelShark.com is not affiliated with any of the aforementioned publications.
HotelShark.com, the site that Consumer Reports calls one of “the tricks to booking online,” is the world’s most-trusted Internet lodging guide. Founded in March 2001, HotelShark.com is available free of charge. HotelShark.com is owned by SharkPage, a privately held company based in Palo Alto, California.
