Sterilex today announces that its President and Founder, Dr. Shira Kramer has been awarded the Second Annual Greater Baltimore Region Bioscience Award (presented by the Greater Baltimore Committee) for Entrepreneurial Spirit in Baltimore.
The Greater Baltimore Committee created the Greater Baltimore Region Bioscience Awards to recognize outstanding achievements in the bioscience industry.
Shira Kramer has been president of the Sterilex Corporation since its inception in 1995 and has been instrumental in its growth during the past 12 years.
When asked about the award, Dr Kramer commented, “I am very honored to receive this award from the Greater Baltimore Committee. The Baltimore region has extraordinary resources for bioscience entrepreneurs. I have benefited from the support of TEDCO and the Maryland Industrial Partnerships, as well as the mentoring and networking available through Women in Bio and the Greater Baltimore Technology Council. I would like to acknowledge the significant contribution of the employees of Sterilex in the continuing growth of our company.”
