Folsom, CA, United States, 2015/06/03 - KPIT Technologies, a fast-growing product engineering and IT consulting firm, announced the successful implementation of the SAP® ERP application and SAP Customer Relationship Management and Billing for Utilities package at Loudoun Water. The scope included implementation of the SAP ERP Financials solution, as well as the project systems, HR and payroll, and procurement components of SAP ERP, along with SAP Enterprise Asset Management and SAP BusinessObjects™ business intelligence solutions. KPIT Technologies is an SAP gold channel partner and an SAP services partner.
Through a close partnership, KPIT guided Loudoun Water through the implementation process of the integrated ERP system. The goal was to replace a large number of legacy systems with one state-of-the-art, modern system. The new system allows Loudoun Water to streamline back-office processes and improves its ability to manage assets and provide better customer service.
The successful implementation at Loudoun Water allowed the utility to provide operational and customer service excellence to over 68,000 connections serving more than 200,000 people. Through application of KPIT’s industry-specific approach, best practices were utilized to garner maximum value and meet Loudoun Water’s strategic goals and objectives, including:
Enhancing the customer experience with an improved, streamlined customer call center
Accelerating transformation into a high-performing utility by boosting operational productivity with comprehensive, integrated processes for financials, procurement, engineering, utility billing, customer service, human resources and asset management
Providing the technology platform for future mobile and customer-facing applications to improve service delivery and utility performance
