Starwood Hotels & Resorts will host their annual Middle East roadshow in six major destinations across the Middle East and the GCC between the 15th and 22nd March, 2007. A highlight of the roadshow is a series of industry workshops that will take place in each destination, namely Doha, Dubai, Kuwait, Amman, Jeddah and Riyadh.
Bringing together over forty experts from Starwood hotels worldwide, the special event will provide an excellent opportunity for hotel industry specialists to exchange views and expertise on the latest developments in the industry.
“For the past three years, the Middle East region has been outperforming all others and achieving the highest growth rate worldwide. The region is moving very fast, and so are we. We’ve been very busy working on several exciting projects, and I’m proud to announce that, in less then one year, we have signed three Ws in Dubai and Doha, a Westin and a Luxury Collection property in Aqaba, Jordan, 4 Four Points by Sheraton Hotels in Dubai, Doha and Tartous in Syria, as well as the ST. Regis Doha - the first ST. Regis to make its debut in the Middle East," said Guido De Wilde, Vice President, Regional Director of Starwood Hotels and Resorts in the Middle East.
He added, “The Middle East region is steadily positioning itself on the world map. It’s an important outbound market, and during our tour in the six cities, our delegates who represent 40 hotels in 18 countries and five continents from around the world will have the chance to update over 2000 customers invited to these events on their products and offers for Summer 2007 and beyond."
Starwood Hotels & Resorts have been operating in the region for over 40 years now, he added, saying the international company was the first to enter this region's market.
