In an increasingly crowded and complex business intelligence market, SAS was named a leader in “The Forrester Wave™: Enterprise Business Intelligence Platforms, Q1 2015” by Forrester Research Inc., March 27, 2015.
With a top possible score of 5.00, Forrester rated SAS 4.41 on market presence, 4.35 on strategy and 4.18 on current offerings.
The report states: “Although firms have known SAS as a leader in advanced and predictive analytics for years, don’t overlook the fact that it also has a formidable BI platform. Firms engage with SAS on BI to benefit from one-stop shopping for data management (ETL, MDM and data quality) and BI products, expertise with business domain and industry vertical applications, and data management professional services.”
The Forrester Wave BI report evaluated SAS Visual Analytics, SAS Office Analytics and SAS Enterprise BI Server, resulting in a leader designation for the company.
“Enterprises today seek deeper insights to remain competitive, and increasingly look for faster insight to improve agility. BI and analytics are more important than ever,” said Jim Davis, SAS Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer.
“Customers most often choose SAS because we set the pace for BI with technologies such as fast in-memory processing, self-service visual data exploration, big data support through Hadoop and the industry’s most widely used analytics,” said Davis.
