London, United Kingdom, 2015/04/02 - Sonru, a global leader and pioneer of video interviewing, has announced its first ever annual user conference ‘StandOut15’, to be held in London on April 22nd - Sonru.com.
Taking place at the Hotel Russell, an iconic 4 star luxury hotel in the heart of Bloomsbury, ‘StandOut15’ brings existing Sonru users, industry heavy-weights and recruitment professionals together from all over the world for a one day conference. Sessions will cover a diverse range of recruitment topics, from candidate engagement and diversity in employment, to the use of technology and video interviewing in modern recruitment. Attendees will catch a sneak peak of upcoming Sonru features and be given the opportunity to provide direct feedback to the Sonru development and executive team. The conference title is a direct translation from the Irish phrase “Bí le sonrú” which means to “stand out” and the origin of Sonru's company name.
Sponsored by Cubiks, eArcu and Broadbean, speakers at the event include Moira Lynam from Nobel Group, Morgan Lobb from Diversity Jobs, Andy Randall of eArcu and Anna Cook of CERN. Through their discussions, professional recruiters can find answers to the questions surrounding the innovation of a recruitment process and share existing knowledge and methods.
On the upcoming StandOut conference, CMO Paul O’Mahony commented,"I’m really excited that so many of our customers are traveling from the four corners of the world to come together under one roof. Some of our customers have really pushed the boundaries and rebuilt their entire recruiting process from the ground up, whilst others are just beginning their video interviewing journey. We’re creating a space for them to tell their stories and pass on their best practices and lessons learned - this will be hugely valuable to all who attend.”
The inaugural event, comes at a time when the company is experiencing massive growth demonstrated by a large expansion of the number of employees in both the European HQ in the South East of Ireland and the development team in Dublin's Digital Hub, as well as its regional offices in London, Singapore and Australia.
The number of completed candidate interviews is increasing exponentially year on year across the key markets - UK, Australia, Singapore, USA and New Zealand - and in the following top 5 languages: English, French, Traditional Chinese, Turkish and German.
Further global growth has been facilitated by a number of key strategic partnerships / API integrations with various partners’ ATS systems such as Oracle TEE and Oracle TBE, eArcu, Hireserve iCams, WCN and TC Media (Canada).
CEO and Founder Ed Hendrick commented,“It’s an exciting time for us at Sonru. When we founded the company in 2007, the vision was to introduce video interviewing to solve the headaches that recruiters and candidates faced on a regular basis. In the last seven years, we’ve executed that vision and although many clients initially come on board to save time and/or costs, we have found that bringing the best candidates forward for interview is the reason they re-sign year after year. We are now a global leader in the space and a trusted partner for many companies around the world. When global companies come on record saying that your company name is now a verb in their organisation, you know you must be doing something right."
