These new Air Quality Control System contracts boost Alstom’s presence in the Turkish Industrial Market.
Alstom’s scope of supply includes the full engineering, supply, construction and commissioning advisory services for four electrostatic precipitators (ESPs).
Driven by a new regulation, Turkey will align the emissions of particulate matter (PM), Sulphur Oxides (SOx) and Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), to the same levels as regulated in the European Union, by 2019.
”To ensure we have the most efficient and reliable electrostatic precipitators for our new fertilizer factory investment in Mardin City, we preferred Alstom as a proven and reputable worldwide equipment provider,” said Omer Mafa, General Coordinator of Eti Bakir A.S.
The customer will also benefit from Alstom’s unique Switched Integrated Rectifier (SIR) a control system upgrade that significantly reduces particulate emissions, has high removal efficiency, low power consumption, a compact layout and proven track record.
“We are grateful to the customers for the opportunity to participate in these two projects,” said Giuseppe Musico’, Alstom MEA Sales Director, Environmental Control Solutions (ECS). “Alstom will ensure the implementation of the most effective and efficient environmental control technology for both these plants.”
This award further demonstrates the ability of Alstom’s ECS business to adapt its offering to customer and market needs by leveraging its global organization and technology expertise.
To-date, Alstom (alstom.com) has installed more than 1800 ESPs in various industries and 650 in the power sector worldwide.
