NetDimensions, a global provider of learning, knowledge and performance management systems, announced today that Robert Wong has joined the company as business development director for the Asia Pacific region.
Wong, who joins NetDimensions after more than two decades in sales and marketing with companies such as Deloitte Consulting, Warner Music and Borland International, will work out of the company’s Hong Kong office.
“We’re very lucky to have someone of Robert’s pedigree working with us,” said NetDimensions co-founder and Chief Information Officer Ray Ruff. “We have a very clear focus on what we aim to accomplish at NetDimensions and Robert is the man to build the business as we continue to expand in Asia Pacific.”
“I am delighted to have joined NetDimensions,” said Wong. “We offer world-class products in a fast growing market. This is an exciting time for us as companies in the region come to understand the importance and benefits of investing in their people. And our solutions are well positioned to meet the new workforce performance requirements."
Wong’s responsibilities will include working with major clients in the region and managing direct and channel partner sales. He will also oversee the recruitment and development of new partners in areas NetDimensions has identified for growth.
“Initial focus areas for business development will include greater China, Southeast Asia and Australia,” added Wong. “We have already done a good deal of business in all three of these markets but there is plenty of scope for more.”
Philip Chubb, the chief executive officer of Global Vision Media, NetDimensions’ Melbourne-based consulting partner, said, “The Australian market is growing rapidly and there is substantial demand for the kinds of quality products and services supplied by NetDimensions. We’re excited to be working with a dedicated partner manager in Australia. The progress we make to develop this market together will be most welcome.”
