Verint® Systems, Inc. today announced it has been named the overall top-ranked vendor by research and technology advisory firm Ventana Research in its 2015 Value Index for Workforce Optimization1.
Verint leads nine other vendors according to Ventana’s comprehensive evaluation of workforce optimization (WFO) vendors’ products across seven categories that include usability, manageability, reliability, capability, adaptability, vendor validation and return on investment. The 2015 evaluation marks the second consecutive year in which the company was named as the top overall company in this Value Index.
“Verint retains top overall ranking in our Workforce Optimization Value Index for its broad range of capabilities, consulting, delivery and support services,” says Richard Snow, Vice President and Research Director, customer engagement for Ventana Research.
Ventana Research defines WFO as the effective management of all employee-related activities associated with handling customer interactions to help ensure an optimal customer experience and alignment to a common set of customer and revenue goals and objectives.
“Managing employee-related tasks associated with customer interactions has become more complex for several reasons including more interactions occurring through more channels of engagement, and more employees handling them,” adds Snow. “Investing in systems that can manage these activities has become essential.”
A breakdown across the Value Index criteria noted Verint has the following:
• Top product capability score among vendors evaluated; assessing a vendor's ability to address the needs of various groups within a business from executives to line managers.
• Top validation score among vendors evaluated; assessing a vendor's management and financial stability, product development, services, support quality and what customers say about the vendor and its products.
• Significant investments in usability that support its high ranking, and big strides in cloud-based services, collaboration and mobility.
• Ventana Research also noted that Verint “shows many customer references and case studies" a reflection of Verint's own dedicated Customer Experience Program and commitment to using the same solutions internally as recommended and deployed for customers.
Ventana Research's findings also point out that analytics is the application the highest percentage of companies said is most likely to have an impact on interaction-handling performance. In aseparate analyst perspective2, Snow noted that the recent acquisition of KANA "has enabled Verint to move further into the customer engagement market," citing Verint Engagement Analytics™ as an example of how the combination is helping organizations improve performance by applying information-driven planning, change management and employee training.
