Maupin is one of the Nevada legal community’s most respected professionals, both as an attorney and Chief Justice of the Nevada Supreme Court. Prior to joining Naylor & Braster, he was a shareholder at Lionel Sawyer & Collins.
“I have worked with John (Naylor) and Jennifer (Braster) in the past and believe they are exceptional lawyers with great talent,” said Maupin. “I wanted a chance to work with them more closely and know this will be a rewarding experience with much fewer client conflicts than are inherent at larger firms. I have worked in almost every legal environment and this is a truly new and different experience. It will be a lot of fun to collaborate with these exceptionally talented attorneys.”
John Naylor and Jennifer Braster formed Naylor & Braster in July of 2014 serve as its managing partners. The firm focuses on commercial litigation, construction law, appellate law and alternative dispute resolution. “Jennifer and I could not be more pleased that Bill has decided to become a part of our team,” said John Naylor. “I worked with Bill for several years at Lionel Sawyer & Collins. Not only has he become a good friend, but his legal experience and knowledge are unparalleled.”
According to Naylor, the firm was designed to utilize current technologies for the benefit of client services. “In our small firm environment, we can represent clients more efficiently and cost-effectively,” he said. “These efficiencies allow us, including Justice Maupin, to reach a broader client base and offer alternative and competitive fee structures.”
Maupin has been a licensed attorney since 1971 and has had a long and prosperous career in Nevada law. He practiced criminal law, civil casualty litigation, insurance law and professional negligence representation prior to becoming a district court judge in Clark County, Nevada in 1993. States. He also worked with Nevada judges and lawyers in re-vamping the Nevada Rules of
