Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire, United Kingdom, 2015/01/08 - The ethical business networking community, The Warwickshire Project, launch their first networking event in Stratford upon Avon - WarwickshireProject.co.uk.
The appetite for a business community based on ethical and sustainable business practices, continues to grow.
Starting out as the Oxfordshire Project by founder, Ben Molyneux, the very same ethos of ethical business and positively impacting the local community as a whole continues with the Warwickshire Project, adding to the Hampshire Project & Gloucestershire Project.
“I wanted to bring more of what many of us have enjoyed for some time in Oxfordshire to another local community,” explains Warwickshire Project founder, Simon Guilliard. “Like the Oxfordshire Project, the Warwickshire Project goes far beyond just a business networking group. What we have created here is a business community, where the members all trust each other and work towards a common goal of growing their businesses in an ethical way that impacts the wider local community in a positive and sustainable way.”
Like many social enterprises, The Warwickshire Project is pursuing a business model that not only aims to support local businesses, by helping them to grow and encouraging support from the local community, but also by giving back into the local area. “We’re offering services and support to help businesses that are the very lifeblood of the economy and local neighbourhood to grow and prosper. At the same time as we’re doing this, we’re also working with organisations such as the Oxfordshire Community Foundation to ensure that our ethical ethos is put into action to benefit the local area in a positive way.”
“We’re really excited to be launching the Warwickshire Project at the end of January, at our first event in Stratford-upon-Avon on the 27th,” explained Guilliard about the debut business event. “Technically, it’s not the first event inside Warwickshire because we’ve been hosting a monthly meeting at The Inn at Farnborough, just outside Banbury, which of course is in Warwickshire, but the Stratford event is out first major push and we’re treating it as the launch event because it represents an exciting step forward. We hope to see all the good stuff we’ve been doing in Oxfordshire brought to Warwickshire too.”
The launch meeting is set to host guest speaker, Trevor Ray Ph.D., who was equally enthusiastic about the prospect of providing the first talk at the Warwickshire Project. “It’s quite an honour to be the first speaker at what is sure to be a very positive thing for Warwickshire businesses. I’ve seen the Oxfordshire Project explode over the last 12 months, and am sure the Warwickshire Project will go the same way, following the massive appetite we’ve seen for an ethical, community-based business approach.”
The first Warwickshire Project (warwickshireproject.co.uk) meeting kicks off on the 27th January from 10am-12pm, at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon. Guests are welcome and can book their place at the Warwickshire Project website for a cost of £15 per person, including food & refreshments.
