GuestLogix, Inc., the leading global provider of ancillary-focused merchandising, payment and business intelligence technology to airlines and the passenger travel industry, today announced the fleet-wide deployment of its retail platform and PCI-compliant handheld POS devices onboard existing airline customer, Royal Air Maroc. The carrier became a customer of GuestLogix via the Company’s acquisition of Initium Onboard in 2012, and opted to upgrade to GuestLogix’ leading retail technology for enhanced support of its inflight duty free program. This agreement was secured in partnership with the Servair Group, a French catering and logistics provider, and represents the partnership’s second agreement of the year, further highlighting the value of this strategic partner relationship.
“The Company remains focused on expanding its EMEA footprint throughout the remainder of 2014, and continuing to serve existing customers in the region is an integral piece of this strategy,” said GuestLogix President & CEO, Brett Proud. “By providing innovative retailing solutions and leveraging strategic relationships such as our partnership with Servair, we are well positioned to execute on this initiative. We look forward to continuing to grow our partnership with Servair, and to assisting Royal Air Maroc in elevating its retail performance.”
GuestLogix gained Royal Air Maroc as a joint customer through the Company’s 2012 acquisition of Initium Onboard, and has provided a full technology upgrade to the Company’s leading platform. GuestLogix’ retail platform and PCI-compliant POS handheld devices have been implemented to support the airline’s duty free program, improving crew efficiency and the passenger experience.
“Two of our core values are reliability and responsibility, and these commitments underlie each promise that we make to our customers,” said Thierry Mingaud, Directeur General, Atlas Servair. “Collaborating with an industry leader like GuestLogix has allowed us to provide our clients with innovative technology that we can stand behind. Following a smooth implementation process, we are confident that Royal Air Maroc will benefit from improvements in efficiency, customer service and payment security onboard.”
GuestLogix and Servair have been strategic channel partners since 2012, serving three joint customers in France and North Africa. Backed by 90 payment and operational certifications, GuestLogix’ end-to-end retail solutions including its Transaction Processing Engine® (TPE) and Global Payment Gateway™ enable the Servair Group to offer secure retailing technology to its customers and their passengers.
“Earning the confidence and satisfaction of both our customers and our partners is of utmost importance to us at GuestLogix,” said Andrew Archer, SVP & General Manager, GuestLogix EMEA. “Royal Air Maroc’s decision to further its relationship with GuestLogix and Servair illustrates the importance of our channel partner relationship as well as the value of the Company’s industry leading retail solutions.”
Royal Air Maroc represents approximately 6 million passenger trips per annum for GuestLogix.
