Cambridge, MA, United States, 2014/09/09 - The Rockefeller University Press (RUP) announced their partnership with Boston-based publishing software company ReadCube to index RUP’s content with ReadCube’s Discover service - RUPress.org / ReadCube.com.
Through the deep-indexing of journals, ReadCube Discover makes RUP’s content more accessible and easier to find across ReadCube’s web, desktop, and mobile reading portals, plus search engines and recommendation feeds.
“For over a century we have been committed to providing the best possible service to our authors and readers,” says Linda Miller, Editor-in-Chief of RUP. “Working with ReadCube enables us to continue this mission to increase accessibility, discoverability, and readability.
Beyond indexing via Discover, all Rockefeller University Press journal content will be seamlessly enhanced with ReadCube’s signature reading interface, featuring hyperlinked in-line citations, annotations, clickable author names, instant access to supplemental content and figures, social sharing, and altmetrics.
“We’re delighted to work with Rockefeller University Press,” said Robert McGrath, CEO and cofounder of ReadCube. “Together we will continue to support researchers worldwide with high quality content made more accessible.”
About The Rockefeller University Press (RUP)
The Rockefeller University Press (rupress.org) is a department of The Rockefeller University. It publishes three biomedical journals: The Journal of Experimental Medicine, founded in 1896; The Journal of General Physiology, founded in 1917; and The Journal of Cell Biology, founded in 1955 under the title The Journal of Biophysical and Biochemical Cytology. All editorial decisions on manuscripts submitted to the three journals are made by active scientists in conjunction with our in-house scientific editors. RUP places a strong emphasis on preserving the integrity of primary research data, and it is a pioneer in the application of new technologies to achieve that goal.
