Symphony Analytics is the only stand-alone, analytics-focused vendor included.
Gartner's recent report,"Market Guide for U.S. Revenue Cycle Management Applications for Healthcare Providers" includes vendors that offer the core set of RCM applications for a healthcare enterprise greater than 250 beds, including hospital inpatient and ambulatory services (1). The report urges CFOs and CIOs of healthcare delivery organizations (HDOs) to ensure that RCM investments address the HDO's requirements for next-generation process capabilities for fully automated RCM operations, real-time data, predictive analytics and patient engagement.
RCM is increasingly becoming a way to optimize financial performance in an integrated health enter-prise. With legacy applications and disparate systems, healthcare providers are tasked with finding strategic ways to consolidate data and provide necessary inputs for today's cross-organizational in-dustry models.
"It is critical for providers to leverage the power of data to overcome the challenges of today's healthcare landscape, but doing so is difficult with information siloed throughout the organization" said Paddy Padmanabhan, Senior Vice President and Global Practice Leader-Healthcare, Symphony Analytics. "Symphony Analytics is focused on providing the frameworks and expertise in a cloud-based model to help providers move to an integrated enterprise view of clinical and financial data using preconfigured solutions. HDOs can now deploy advanced analytics to increase cash flow from revenue cycle operations, manage population health and improve patient outcomes without huge investments in hardware and software. We believe Gartner’s recent report confirms our position in the market and underscores our commitment to providing customers with RCM analytics solutions that meet their unique challenges."
"The importance of RCM as an enterprise capability to optimize financial performance is increasing. RCM is a key driver of enterprise process change, enterprise-level capability creation and business intelligence," Gartner Analyst Melanie Meyer reports. "The applications supporting RCM have evolved from addressing specific aspects of the process into more integrated tool suites. The need to integrate with other applications has driven the implementation approach used in the marketplace today, which, in turn, has spurred vendor innovation.(2)"
We believe today's announcement points to the success of Symphony Analytics' Health SymMetrics™ offering, healthcare expertise and operational excellence as more and more organizations look to the company to help overcome the biggest challenges of today's healthcare marketplace.
