Chilled beams market in India is at its nascent stage compared to North American and European countries. Chilled beam offers highly efficient cooling solution based on natural process of heat transfer. India is expected to witness higher adoption of chilled beams on account of various benefits offered by them such as highly efficient operation, lower space requirement compared to conventional Air Handling Units, and absence of fan and motor that further reduce running cost while making the operation almost noise-free.

Chilled beams require less floor to floor height, thus resulting in construction of more number of floors in a building. Chilled beams also reduce the duct work, which significantly reduces the overall system cost. Further, chilled beam adoption significantly reduces the maintenance cost. Few of the target markets for chilled beams in India include educational institutions, health centers, commercial buildings, shopping complexes, residential apartments and multiplexes. Increasing commercial and construction activities in India are expected to spur the country’s demand for chilled beams over the next five years.
