• Avaya Collaboration Pod is now available in two new models specifically for Cloud Service Providers looking to deliver Communications-as-a-Service to their customers.
• Enterprise model enhanced with advanced Customer Experience Management capabilities; all Collaboration Pods now support Avaya Fabric Connect for network simplicity and agility.
• vaya Collaboration Pod to power new Unified Communications Cloud offers for CONNEX, ROI Networks and Integration Partners.
Avaya is introducing two new Collaboration Pod models specifically for Cloud Service Providers, enabling them to offer Unified Communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS) and Contact Center-as-a-Service (CCaaS) to end customers. Cloud Service Providers Connex and ROI Networks will be powering their new UCaaS offers for their customers using the Avaya Collaboration Pod.
For enterprises, advanced Customer Experience Management functionality has been added to the existing Collaboration Pod model, which can now support multichannel interactions through Avaya Elite Multichannel, self-service via the Avaya Experience Portal and management through the Avaya Call Management System, in addition to its full Unified Communications capabilities. All Collaboration Pod models have also been enhanced with Avaya Fabric Connect networking. Fabric Connect, a standards-based network virtualization technology, improves the network performance of real-time applications and provides simplified virtual machine mobility, greater agility and faster time to service via end point provisioning.
Based on solutions from Avaya, EMC and VMware, the Avaya Collaboration Pods deliver virtualized applications, computing, storage, and networking with all administrative and provisioning functions consolidated in a single orchestration system. Avaya provides integrated support for all Collaboration Pod components, simplifying software upgrades and eliminating the need for support coverage from multiple vendors. Fully-integrated, tested and ready-to-deploy, Avaya Collaboration Pods can reduce the time to deploy virtualized real-time applications from months to weeks.
Avaya Collaboration Pods are customized and pre-configured to the requirements of each customer and can be expanded as needs change. For Cloud Service Providers, the Collaboration Pods support multi-tenancy and multi-instance deployments. Avaya Collaboration Pods can offer a reduced Total Cost of Ownership over a five year period versus comparable do-it-yourself (DIY) and appliance-based approaches.
The new Avaya Collaboration Pods will be generally available in the third calendar quarter.
"The Avaya Collaboration Pod enables us to offer powerful unified communications and video solutions to our customers regardless of whether they are looking for premise-based or cloud- based or any permutation in between. The integrated full stack, ready-to-deploy solution provides us with a platform that is easier to manage, provision, support and troubleshoot."
Jeff Hiebert, CEO, ROI Networks
"We understand that companies want to take advantage of advanced communications capabilities but may not have the resources or desire to manage the operation. The Connex Cloud, powered by the Avaya Collaboration Pod hosted at 151 Front Street in Toronto and at another location in Quebec in the future, enables us to offer our customers multiple delivery options as part of a managed service, including per user/per month, cloud-based UC service all with the same trusted Avaya brand."
Sayan Navaratna, CEO, Connex
"The ability to turn up applications at breakneck speed in a way that reduces complexity and cost is a competitive differentiator to us and to our customers. We see the Avaya Collaboration Pod as a fundamentally unique path to achieve the technical and financial benefits of cloud based applications."
David Raftery, managing partner, Integration Partners
