The number of web merchants listed in the 2014 Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide that certify Moovweb as their mobile commerce vendor quadrupled in a year-over-year comparison. Per Moovweb’s analysis of the latest version of Internet Retailer’s Top 500 Guide (the IR500), this makes Moovweb the fastest growing mobile vendor in 2013.
Each year, Internet Retailer ranks the 500 largest e-retailers in the United States based on global online sales. The guide profiles each e-retailer, with 235 financial and operating details including their choice of mobile commerce vendor and is one of the most highly respected reports in the industry.
In the 2012 version of the report, Moovweb powered 9 retailers in the IR500. According to the updated report published today, Moovweb added 26 IR500 retailers in 2013 (289% growth), for a total of 35 IR500 retailers that power their mobile experiences using the Moovweb responsive delivery platform. This growth positions Moovweb as the fastest-growing mobile commerce vendor. Retailers that use the Moovweb platform include: Macy’s, Under Armour, Scholastic, Nutrisystem, Men’s Wearhouse, The Limited, JoS A. Bank Clothiers, Hanna Andersson, Chico’s, AC Lens and many others.
“Moovweb enabled us to get to market faster than any other solution we considered,” shared Brian Frank, Vice President of Business Development of AC Lens. “The tailored mobile site we built with Moovweb resulted in average visit duration increasing by 150%, pageviews increasing by 78%, mobile conversions increasing by 25%, and revenue increasing by 25%.”
Moovweb enables retailers to not only to unify their desktop, mobile and app development, but also to deliver fully responsive experiences across all digital endpoints without rewriting their existing sites. By leveraging existing business logic, data, content and eCommerce engines, retailers can get to market in weeks, not months with tailored mobile sites and apps that deliver better business results.
Moovweb is the also first responsive platform to provide ‘layered’ front-end development, an approach that allows retailers to quickly deliver an unlimited number of customized consumer experiences simultaneously to various endpoints. These experiences can be tested and iterated in parallel to quickly determine which delivers the best business results. With Moovweb, retailers can respond more deeply to individual user context, device, and use case than possible through today’s single-tier web infrastructure while delivering in record time by leveraging existing business logic.
“The future of all interfaces, and business itself, is personalization around a user’s context. We’re growing quickly because Moovweb enables retailers to manage that complexity and harness the power of context across their websites and apps. A ‘responsive’ platform must allow companies to understand and respond to these deeper aspects of a user’s context, not only screen size,” said Ajay Kapur, CEO and founder of Moovweb.
Moovweb (moovweb.com) is a cloud-based platform that empowers organizations to leverage their existing web investments to deliver fully responsive experiences in a fraction of the time it would take to rewrite their site. Moovweb customers are able to personalize and improve upon those responsive experiences in just days. The Moovweb platform is one of the world’s most secure and powerful, handling more than 25 billion mobile page requests this year for many of the world’s largest mobile sites and apps, including Accenture, Cox Communications, Macy’s, GNC, Campbell’s, John Deere, Fairmont Hotels, Sur la Table, Chico’s, AIG, Sharpie and dozens of others.
